About & Contact
I'm Seth Mop Sanchez, an illustrator and concept artist working in dark fantasy and mythology.
I paint creatures and characters: semi-realistic and painterly, with believable anatomy and mythic weight. Before deciding how a creature looks, I ask how it lives, hunts and survives, the way a naturalist would on an expedition.
I've been freelancing for over a decade, for studios, publications and cultural projects, and I also teach and mentor illustration students.
Between commissions, I build my own dark fantasy worlds, one specimen at a time, and design creatures and lore for an indie souls-like currently in development.
Available for illustration, concept art, TCG, TTRPG work and game studio collaborations.
